Yan-Lo is the main antagonist in Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior. Even though he is deceased during the events of the film, he continues to hatch evil plans as a spirit.

Yan-Lo was voiced by Hadley Hudson.

History[]

Yan-Lo appears in the form of a ghost because he was killed by Nina Wu ninety years ago. He possessed the bodies of people by causing multiples of himself to appear to drain Wendy Wu's powers—the powers she got from the Yin Warrior. The Yin Warrior would be her great-grandmother and she was reincarnated as Wendy to defeat the evil spirit. At the end of the movie, Wendy fights Jessica Dawson, possessed by Yan-Lo. She made a true sacrifice to save Shen, the monk who was sent to inform Wendy and teach her kung fu to defeat the dragon. When Wendy made that true sacrifice and finally defeated Yan-Lo, he would never come back, because he was defeated forever; however, due to Yan-Lo's actual return in the DVD's extended ending where he possessed Cupcake once again, this was considered false.
